Port-Sainte-Marie. A day to talk about housing in the town center

Saturday, September 28, is a historic day for Port-Sainte-Marie and its surroundings. The town, in partnership with the Confluent and Coteaux de Prayssas community of communes, will offer a day dedicated to “Living in the town center”.

Implementation of a city policy

The organization of this event by the municipality was based on several observations: the specificity of housing in the town center (old buildings, presence of protected monuments, space constraints, etc.), and the lack of awareness of aid systems (local subsidies, national systems, legal advice, etc.). On this last point, for example, which administrator corresponds to what a programmed operation for the improvement of housing and urban renewal (OPAH-RU) corresponds? Furthermore, this day is part of the approach initiated by municipal elected officials, with the help of local partners, who are working on a strategy for revitalizing the town center as part of the “Small Towns of Tomorrow” program, and the territorial revitalization operation led by the community of communes of Confluent and Coteaux de Prayssas (4CP). This approach concerns the subjects of public spaces, mobility, businesses, and in particular housing. Concretely, this day is free, and accessible to all, residents of Port-Sainte-Marie or not. Whether you are tenants, owners, or project leaders, a large number of organizations will be present to help, advise, and guide you.

A number of stands, activities, and tours will be offered throughout the day. If you are interested, go to the Salle des Arcades (Place Jean Barennes, next to the town hall), from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Port-Sainte-Marie will be happy to welcome you!
