Beaten by OL (3-2) in the first leg of the Women’s Champions League semi-final, PSG will have to turn the situation around on Sunday, during the return leg. A mission far from impossible, according to his trainer.

PSG coach Jocelyn Prêcheur assured Saturday that he was certain that his players would “turn around” the situation on Sunday against OL in the semi-final second leg of the Champions League, after the first leg lost (3-2).

“We talked about it before the match, we knew that it was going to be played out over two confrontations, we had a good 75 minutes away. The scenario was tough on the minds,” explained Grace Geyoro on Saturday at a press conference , while OL overturned the first leg in six minutes (3-2, 80th, 84th, 86th).

“I have the confidence and the certainty that we will turn this match around”

This week, “we came together, we said to ourselves that we had to continue to make the effort, that it was going to pay off… We lost the first leg but we made an impression, we enough talk between us, and today we have a lot of excitement to see you tomorrow (Sunday),” assured the French midfielder.

The first 75 minutes of the first leg and Marie-Antoinette Katoto’s two goals should “strengthen us to have full confidence”.

For his part, PSG coach Jocelyn Prêcheur has “no doubt about the ability to win, I am aware of the difficulty of the task, we will have to be in tune and respond”. he continued, adding his players this season were “capable of moving forward”: “we have a new strength which makes me say that I have the confidence and the certainty that we will turn this match around” .

While OL is deprived of several executives including Le Sommer, Hegerberg and certainly Mbock, PSG is almost complete except for goalkeeper Katarzyna Kiedrzynek, who is out for Sunday after “receiving a blow on the eve of the first leg”. The Frenchwoman Constance Picaud, author of a good match in despite the three goals conceded, will be lined up.

We are the only club to have a men’s and women’s team in the semi-final, this is a first success, a final for both teams would be a fortiori something extraordinary”, rejoiced the coach, specifying that he had not not exchanged with his male counterpart Luis Enrique who also had to come back from a lost first leg (3-2) against FC Barcelona.
