After an investment of 14.5 million euros for equipment that will allow it to double its production and meet environmental challenges, Laiterie Les Fayes has left its historic Isle site for the Grande Pièce and Palais-sur-Vienne business park. The plant, operational since the beginning of June and which serves as a model for the Terra Lacta cooperative, was inaugurated with great fanfare this Friday, September 20.
Proust has his madeleine and the Limousins have their milk. The over-50s were even able to discover its packaging and processing in the Isle factory at a time when health standards were less draconian and schoolchildren did not contaminate anyone. Since then, they have bottle-fed their offspring with it and have been seduced by marketing full of self-mockery and “damn” funny. The products of Laiterie Les Fayes – including the Limousins fromage blanc which celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2022 – have thus naturally found their place in the fridges.
