A leap in time of several centuries. This is what is on offer for a weekend, in the Cube garden of Houssaye-en-Brie (Seine-et-Marne). In the space of two days, around ten companies will open the doors of the Middle Ages.
“It’s an event that we’ve been doing for over ten years,” recaps Michel Forest, one of the organizers of the event. This year, around fifty people will participate in the event to introduce the public to the professions of yesteryear.”
A military encampment
Around fifty enthusiasts will introduce you to screen printing, making stained glass windows and will introduce you to the medicine of yesteryear. Others will guide you to a military camp specially installed for the occasion. “Here, we are going to introduce weapons and military equipment from the medieval period,” continues Michel Forest. Unlike some years, there will be no major battle reenactments. However, some will undoubtedly face each other with swords in a duel« .
From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on September 28 and 29, the joyful troupe will be waiting for you in the Cube garden. On site, visitors will not have to pay anything. Please note that no catering is planned on site.
