Since April 18, the A13 motorway has been closed to traffic. But why and what consequences for motorists?

A ground movement would be the cause

Researches will continue this Monday, April 22. A decision will be made this evening but the reopening of the A13 motorway would not be planned before Thursday April 25. Faced with this closure, the authorities therefore recommend to opt for alternative routes so as not to overload the other parallel axes. An event unfortunate who arrives in a context where the state of the roads is questioned by various studies and specialists.
What consequences for the motorist?
Such a decision which is not without consequences for motorists. First of all, from a journey point of view, authorities have set up routes alternatives with different axes: the N13 and the A14 from Porte Maillot. It is also possible via Paris and Rocquencourt via the N118, the A86, the N12 and the A12.
Axes which will thus be overloaded and traffic jams will only increase until the reopening of the A14 motorway. A change of route which is not without impact the portfolio of the motorist.
This is why several elected officials are asking free alternative sections and in particular if the closure of the A14 is extended. As a reminder, the A14 costs approximately 10.60 euros For 20 kilometers. For its part, the A86 costs 10 euros. The Duplex tunnel does as for him 12.50 euros between 5 and 7 p.m.

It is therefore unlikely to see a free alternative routes, especially if a reopening is provided in the week.
