We have known for several months that, due to significant financial losses, Toolstation, the tool brand of the British group Travis Perkins, wants to leave . It is in this context that Quincaillerie Angles, a member of Algorel and Eqip, is preparing to take over eight of the 51 counters in the network of the specialist in hardware, tools and finishing products. These agencies are located in Chambéry, Décines-Charpieu, Saint-Paul les Romans, , Dardilly, , Tignieu, Villefranche-Sur Saône. This takeover should be finalized during the month of September or early October.

Synergy and financial support

According to the press release, the Aveyron group was approached by the French management of the British distributor and the EY firm. It wanted to “position itself (…) according to different criteria: the geographical locations of the businesses, the synergies of location and customer base with their own network or the format of the stores allowing them to deploy their offer (+50,000 references in stores at Quincaillerie Angles vs. 12,000 at ToolStation). To ensure the sustainability of the acquired stores, Quincaillerie Angles has planned strong financial and operational support around the training of the acquired staff, the product offer, marketing, etc.).”

40 points of sale

With this acquisition, Quincaillerie Angles, which has already made four acquisitions and opened two stores ( and Réunion) in 2024, is further strengthening the coverage of its network of “DIY technicians” in the south-east of France. It now has 40 points of sale.
