To a business concept that makes it a private club for online ordering, Amazon has added enough bricks to make it one of the most comprehensive subscriptions in France. And at the price it is offered, even someone who does not order from Amazon could be tempted to, for example, take advantage of the SVOD service — which has a good catalog and popular originals.

How much does an Amazon Prime account cost in France?
Amazon Prime is available for 69.90 euros per year (with a free, no-obligation 30-day trial). You can also pay monthly, at €6.99. Additionally, eligible students can get 50% off. Prices have recently increased, but the service is still very cost-effective.
What is included in Amazon Prime membership?
The basic Amazon Prime offering could be summed up in one sentence: faster delivery — and free delivery — for products purchased online from Amazon. But the list of options added to the Prime package is long — perhaps one of them could justify the €7 per month that the company is asking.
Amazon Prime Video
In France, Prime subscribers have access to Amazon’s streaming catalog for free and unlimited. The latter contains hundreds of films in SVoD and especially excellent series produced by Amazon such as a large part of the MK2 catalog, The Boys, Fleabag, Transparent, Good Omens, Fallout — not to mention The Rings of Power.
Prime now includes the Max streaming platform in its Prime Video subscription. However, to access the catalog, you have to add €5.99 to get the version with ads and €9.99 for the basic version without ads. Note that a 7-day free trial of Max is included in the subscription.

- New delivery methods : Prime gives access to other delivery methods than one-day. You can benefit from discounts on Express deliveries and deliveries on the evening of the purchase in certain large cities (Paris, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, etc.), even on Sundays. How to cancel or unsubscribe from Amazon Prime?
Amazon’s paid service will renew your subscription every year — or every month — after you first sign up.
To stop your subscription before automatic renewal (or change it), follow these steps:
- Go to the page dedicated to Amazon Prime;
- At the very bottom, click on ‘Manage my subscription’;
- Next to ‘Renewal Date’ is the ‘Manage’ tab;
- Click on ‘Update, Cancel & More’;
- Click on ‘End subscription and benefits’.
You will of course remain subscribed until the end of your subscription period (either the current month or the months you have left).
