The actress, seen in A French affair, Agatha Christie’s Little Murders And Fortune of France, has spoken out about the sexual harassment she suffered during her career, like so many others, at a time when she was forced to “let it pass” to keep her job. In particular, the mother of a little boy revealed why she had never considered it useful to denounce the person behind the “inappropriate gestures” and “misplaced words” that she was undergoing: “Already, there is not just one…”while specifying:“There are forty people around you, not one person says anything.”
“After all, yes, it tends to change”agreed the actress who invests a lot in her roles. Evoking her beginnings, twenty years ago, when, in the film crew, there was “only men”Blandine Bellavoir noted: “Parity is there, and it changes the whole atmosphere of a shoot.” However, for her, the fight is not over. : “We have to hold on, we have to continue, we have to not give up”she insisted, while giving her opinion on the harassment referents now mandatory on film sets.
