Two minors are before investigators in the North after the fatal attack in Grande-Synthe on the night of Monday to Tuesday. After a 14-year-old teenager, a 15-year-old boy was arrested yesterday. They are suspected of having participated at the beating of Philippethe 22-year-old victim, on the night of April 15 to 16.
Philippe was found totally inanimate, mouth, eyelids, nose stained with blood. To steal his phone, the three attackers took off his shoes and his pants, before fleeing. Kelvin, Philippe’s brother, does not understand how this could have happened to his brother when he was returning home.
“He’s a young boy, appreciated by everyone, known for his smile. He’s a center leader. All the little ones liked him too. He’s relentless, he’s barbaric. Unfortunately, it fell on my brother,” he denounces.

In Grande-Synthe (commune of 21,000 inhabitants), the youth of the first two individuals in police custody, 14 and 15 years old, arrested. The mayor, Martial Beyaert, does not understand these attacks which have occurred one after the other in recent days.
“There have been some events in recent days that have led to abuses. I called for calm and serenity. I have full confidence in the national police that this investigation will be carried out quickly and that we can find the perpetrators very quickly,” says the mayor.
To pay tribute to Philippe, a white walk was scheduled for this Friday morning.
