Plastic arts. Four Moroccan artists shine at Stronarte

On the occasion of World Earth Day, four Moroccan artists recently created a large fresco in the Italian town of Strona as part of the first edition of Stronarte. Organized by the Pro Loco di Strona Cultural Association around the theme “The environment and art”, this event brought together, for eight days, the artists Abdel Flitti, Rachid Jouida, Kaoutar Bassir Kaoutar and Tarik Sakhi, to create permanent installations, with recycled materials, and a mural in the center of the city to raise awareness of environmental protection.

Abdel Flitti is a sculptor who uses iron, steel and other metals, living in Palma de Mallorca. Rachid Jouida has been a painter in Strona, Italy for 18 years, dividing his time between Italy and New York. Kaoutar Bassir is an interior designer and visual artist in . Tarik Sakhi is a graphic designer and artistic director in Brussels. These artists, all winners of the Casablanca of Fine Arts, participated in the first edition of Stronarte by bringing their experience, skills, creativity and talent for the environment. Their participation in Stronarte was praised by critics for its originality, diversity and artistic quality. By bringing their personal touch to this major cultural event, these artists confirmed the influence of the Casablanca School of Fine Arts on the international artistic scene and opened new perspectives for its community of emerging artists. This event offered visitors a unique immersive experience.

“I am proud to have participated in this unifying event. It was an experience rich in emotion and sharing. With three other Moroccan artists, we created a fresco using recycled objects to raise awareness of the environment. We spent several days working on this project, combining our different artistic techniques to bring to life a unique work. Each of us brought our personal touch to the fresco, thus creating an impressive visual harmony,” indicated the painter and artist. interior designer Kaoutar Bassir.

Beyond the artistic dimension, this initiative aimed to raise public awareness of the importance of recycling and environmental protection. It reminds us of the urgency of acting to preserve our planet.

“This experience had a profound impact on me and made me want to continue to get involved through art for causes that are close to my heart. It’s a great way to send strong messages and touch people deep within themselves,” she continued.

For eight days, Strona was immersed in artistic activities for eight days. The diversity of forms of artistic expression nourished the spirit of the public who were able to admire the works of students from the JouidArt art school and the Onde d’art group, during the painting exhibition. There was also a watercolor workshop led by Lorena Castro Hurtado, a poignant theatrical performance with the Atelier Teatro company from and an artistic recycling workshop for children from primary schools in Strona, Soprana, Mosso, Valle Mosso, Trivero , Pettinengo and Valle San Nicolao. Add to this, a choir with the Amici del canto de Cossato, a dance show with the girls from Arabesque and an Aperi-Swing with the Crazy swing Ornet school. Finally, street food on Saturday added a festive and friendly dimension to this week full of discoveries and sharing.
