Public function. Likewise, the review of the status of decision-makers in the Civil Service should finally be done, as should the diligent settlement of workers’ rights after the liquidation of their companies; the preservation, consolidation and expansion of democratic freedoms. A significant reduction in the cost of living has become imperative to improve the purchasing power of workers, including those in the informal economy and that of retirees, etc.

Furthermore, the PIT – Senegal calls on the President of the Republic Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar FAYE, as well as his Government, to respond diligently and fairly to the demands of workers and to promote open and constructive social dialogue. “The PIT’s conviction has not changed in any way: only a sincere commitment to social justice will make it possible to build a better future for all,” the press release reads.
