A gesture to help motorists to wait… The State announces a 50% reduction on A14 toll prices, while the A13 reopens. This highway has been closed since April 18 between Paris and Vaucresson (Hauts-de-Seine) because of cracks that appeared in the roadway.
Without this (free) section, most motorists have no choice but to fall back on the A14 which has become very congested, in addition to being charged (€10.60 during rush hours).
Two passengers minimum
The exact terms of the reduction remain to be clarified. The Minister of Transport, Patrice Vergriete, however, clarified to AFP that this aid would not concern that carpoolers. That is to say all vehicles in which there are at least two passengers.
The ministry also adds that discussions are underway with carpooling platforms on possible promotions “until free” in order to share journeys and limit congestion on the A14.
