For many, saying “yes” once is already a major commitment. However, some celebrities have decided to renew this vow, not with a new flame, but with a past love. On April 16, 1994, Johnny Hallyday married Adeline Blondieau for the second time, marking one of the most publicized unions in the French sphere. The couple was initially married in 1990 in Ramatuelle, in a sumptuous setting which brought together many celebrities. But behind the pageantry, they were quickly confronted with turbulence, between arguments and infidelities, leading to a divorce in 1992.

Despite a second chance at love in 1994, their union lasted only one more year, ending against a backdrop of accusations of domestic violence by Adeline Blondieau, which the late rocker always denied. “Once we came together as husband and wife, I had to accept a lot more than I thought I would. I lost a big, big part of my freedom.”she confided in the Netflix series Johnny by Johnny, released in 2022.

In the world of Hollywood, Pamela Anderson is no exception when it comes to notable marriages. The iconBaywatch married Rick Salomon in 2007 in Las Vegas in an intimate ceremony. Their first attempt was quickly derailed, leading to a divorce a few months later in February 2008. However, love seemed to rekindle between them, as they remarried on January 14, 2014, again in Las Vegas but this time in the sequel of a hotel, surrounded by their loved ones. This second marriage was also short-lived, ending in divorce in July 2015.

Céline Dion and René Angélil: an unwavering love story

Sometimes, some couples feel the desire to renew their marriage vows, not in a legal process, but rather symbolically. This is precisely what Céline Dion and René Angélil chose to do. Their story began on December 17, 1994 with a sumptuous ceremony at the Notre-Dame basilica in Montreal, surrounded by many personalities, followed by a magical honeymoon at Disney World. “We laugh, we joke. We tease each other. We want our marriage to last forever”, confided the singer in 2013 to Vegas Deluxe’s. Six years after saying “yes”, the couple decided to reaffirm their commitment in the privacy of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Despite life’s challenges, their union remained strong until René’s death in 2016, leaving behind three sons and a legacy of unwavering love.
