On April 10, Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès left Nantes and joined Roquebrune-sur-Argens by car. He has a good time on the road, notably in a luxurious inn in Pontet, where he dines and sleeps alone, before disappearing without a trace.

The investigation ends on April 15, 2011, the day the father left the Roquebrune-sur-Argens Formula 1 with his back a bag whose shape suggests that it can contain the rifle inherited from his father and in one of his hands a detective novel by Bernard Minier. The day before, he withdrew 30 euros from the town ATM.

For more than 1,750 reports in the space of thirteen years have been recorded, testimonies which claim to have encountered the suspect in the four corners of France and internationally. The latest one is currently being processed. DNA analyzes will be carried out on a cup from which the suspect allegedly drank.
