Maïwenn is “devastated”. The director announced on Tuesday the death of her son’s father, her ex-companion Jean-Yves Le Fur, 59, who died on Sunday surrounded by his loved ones. Playboy of the 1980s and 90s, he notably co-founded the magazines DS And Number, and was displayed on the arm of Stéphanie de Monaco or even the top Karen Mulder. In 2013, he relaunched the magazine Him with Frédéric Beigbeder. According to the site AudienceJean-Yves Le Fur died following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

“Jean-Yves Le Fur, the love of my life, the father of my son Diego, and the father-in-law of my daughter Shanna, left on Sunday morning in my arms and those of our son, under the protection of Frédérick, his big brother, and Jaky, his lifelong friend,” Maïwenn announced on Instagram.

As a teenager, Jean-Yves Le Fur played tennis in with a certain Yannick Noah. In 1990, Stéphanie of Monaco fell under his spell but their engagement remained a dead letter.
