After French this morning, mathematics. The approximately 822,000 third-year students sat down this Monday afternoon for the mathematics exam for the brevet. A two-hour exam that represents 100 points for obtaining the national brevet diploma (DNB).

For students from Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, the mathematics exam was held in the morning.
The third-year students from mainland France, Reunion Island and Mayotte then have an appointment this Tuesday morning for the history-geography and moral and civic education exam at 9 a.m., a two-hour exam. To obtain the DNB, students must obtain at least 400 points out of 800, explains a fact sheet from the Ministry of National Education devoted to the subject. The final exams count for half, “the assessment of the student’s achievements provided for by the base”, by teachers, counts as much. For the 2023 session, the DNB success rate was 89.1%, as the ministry recalls.
