LIVE – Formula 1: Norris chases Verstappen, follow the Spanish Grand Prix

At the end of the 36th lap, both drivers put on hard tires to go to the end. Russell comes out 7th ahead of Sainz.

Superb overtaking by Lando Norris on George Russell who takes second place, nine seconds behind Verstappen.

The Frenchman is overtaken by the Australian to gain seventh place.

Verstappen is quietly widening the gap in front. The Dutchman is eight seconds ahead of Russell who will find himself under threat from Norris.

Norris is on a crazy pace with his fresher tires. He just dropped Hamilton on lap 32 for third place. He is now hunting Russell.

The Dutchman manages his tires in the lead and is more than six seconds ahead of George Russell.

With his new tires, Norris drops Sainz off on the start/finish straight. He is 4th and chasing Hamilton. Meanwhile, Leclerc has fun with Gasly and takes sixth place.

At the end of the 24th lap, Charles Leclerc put on the mediums after an average stop of three seconds. He comes out seventh between Gasly and Ocon. Verstappen in the lead.

At the end of the 23rd lap, Norris stopped to put on mediums. He comes out sixth but the Briton will perhaps try the one-stop strategy. Leclerc leads the race.

The two leaders have not yet stopped. Norris leads the race in front of Leclerc but Verstappen comes back strong.

Verstappen is very fast with his new tires and has just got rid of Oscar Piastri. He is third, 14 seconds behind Norris.

The Blues are still in the top 10. Despite the missed stop, Pierre Gasly is 8th ahead of Esteban Ocon.

Superb overtake by Lewis Hamilton on Carlos Sainz at the first corner of lap 19.

Fabulous stop from Red Bull in 1.9 seconds. Verstappen puts on the mediums at the end of lap 17 and comes out fourth. Norris leads ahead of Leclerc and Piastri.

Second, Norris is four seconds behind Verstappen and wants to go for it.

The stops multiply and Russell’s goes badly. The Briton uses mediums but loses time. He comes out 7th, just ahead of Sainz who also stopped.

Hard blow for Gasly. At the end of the 14th lap, the Frenchman’s stop was missed and lasted more than six seconds. A lot of time wasted for Gasly who came out with mediums but only 13th.

Esteban Ocon made his first stop at the end of lap 13 to put on mediums. Sergio Perez imitated him and put in tenders. Ocon is 14th, ahead of Perez.

The Dutchman almost lost his car at turn 7 of lap 13. A little scare for the three-time world champion who managed to catch up with his car.

The Mexican has just overtaken Hulkenberg and finally entered the top 10. The Mexican is very, very far from Verstappen. Once again.

Three drivers came through the pits at the end of the 11th lap. Kevin Magnussen, Yuki Tsunoda and Gunyu Zhou wore the mediums.

Seventh, the Frenchman is attacked by Oscar Piastri. The Australian has DRS and tries an offensive at turn 1 of lap 10 but Gasly defends hard on the inside.

The cars follow each other in front and no one escapes. Verstappen is just over a second ahead of Russell who is under pressure from Norris and Hamilton.

At home, the Spaniard overtook his teammate in the first laps and found himself 5th just ahead of Leclerc.

At the start of lap 3, Verstappen attacks Russell at turn 1 with DRS and slipstream. He takes the lead and pushes back to Russell with a second left.

Good start from the Australian who gained a place in favor of Esteban Ocon. He is eighth.

Norris struggled to get away and basically took care of Verstappen. The Dutchman jumped him at the first corner but Russell made the big move from the outside by overtaking Norris and Verstappen.
