The facts date back to this Monday, June 17, 2024 at 10:50 p.m., in the heart of the sub-prefecture of Hérault, north of Montpellier, more precisely in rue de la République. There were no direct witnesses it seems, but a 26-year-old from Lodévois collapsed, bleeding, after receiving at least three stab wounds from another pedestrian he had just passed.

The attacker fled immediately. Seriously injured, the twenty-year-old was transported to the anesthesia and resuscitation department -DAR A- at University of Montpellier in absolute emergency and operated, which allows him to be out of danger, to the point of having left the establishment on Wednesday “sneakly”, that is to say without having informed the gendarmerie, as the obligation had been to him done.
