This Friday, the prosecution requested life imprisonment, accompanied by a security period of twenty years, against Sandrine Pissarra. This mother is on trial before the Hérault assizes for acts of “torture” and “barbarism” for having starved to death Amandine, her 13-year-old daughter.
In his indictment, the Attorney General, Jean-Marie Beney, also demanded a sentence of eighteen years' imprisonment against Sandrine Pissarra's former companion, Jean-Michel Cros, deeming him guilty of having “deprived of care or food” his daughter-in-law, who weighed only 28 kg when she died on August 6, 2020.
