MHSC: Montpellier is on the verge of parting ways with its striker Akor Adams and could thus strengthen

The transfer window is getting restless ten days before its close. Nigerian striker from Montpellier Akor Adams is preparing to join the Spanish club Sevilla FC according to information from Fabrizio Romano which we are able to confirm.

Courted by various clubs in recent days, the MHSC center forward did not come into play during the recent success of Jean-Louis Gasset's team against Monaco (2-1). According to the same source, the transfer currently being finalized would be negotiated at 8ME, including two bonuses.

Successful beginnings

Adams, very close to his 25th birthday, joined Montpellier in August 2023 to succeed the young prodigy Elye Wahi, transferred to Lens for 30ME. For his third professional season, the ex-Espoir international impressed by scoring 19 goals, including a quadruple in Lyon.

This athletic striker (1.90 m, 90 kg) arrived from Lillestrom (Norway), made his debut in Montpellier, scoring seven goals in ten matches, before losing confidence and experiencing a long slump after a month of October full of turbulence (match stopped against Clermont, Sakho affair).

Since the start of the season, Adams has scored three goals in fifteen games, caused two penalties and scored an assist. In Montpellier, within a team plunged to last place, this player, with a mentality appreciated by all, did not manage to find the right connections, nor the full fuel.

Looking for a new center forward
