Following the announcement of the resumption of direct service on the rail line between France and Italy, SNCF Voyageurs today announces the opening of the sale of train tickets for the direct connection provided by TGV INOUI between Milan and Paris, suspended in August 2023 due to a landslide in the Maurienne valley.
After extensive work, the competent authorities have confirmed the security of the railway passage for train traffic and the reopening of the line between Italy and France, scheduled for March 31, 2025.
“We are very pleased to restore our direct service to full capacity between Italy and France”declared Caroline Chabrol, general director of SNCF Voyages Italy. “This reopening coincides with a key moment for us: after having guaranteed to our customers the continuity of the TGV INOUI offer through a replacement service during the interruption of the line, we recently announced a major development plan for SNCF Voyageurs in Italy. This not only confirms our commitment to this country, but also contributes to expanding the offer of sustainable mobility solutions for French, Italian and European travelers.”
