The live streaming services company, Netflix, announced yesterday evening, Tuesday, that its profits had increased during the fourth quarter of last year.

The company said that its quarterly profits amounted to $1.869 billion, equivalent to $4.27 per share, compared to profits of $938 million, equivalent to $2.11 per share during the last quarter of 2023.

Analysts’ average expectations for Netflix’s profits during the fourth quarter of last year were $4.20 per share.

Netflix’s quarterly revenues also increased by 16 percent annually to $10,247 billion, compared to $8,833 billion during the same period in 2023.

At the same time, the total number of subscribers to the “Netflix” platform reached 302 million subscribers by the end of last year.

The company said, in a statement, that its results during the last quarter of last year exceeded its highest expectations.

The platform’s viewing rates increased thanks to the broadcast of the second season of the Squid Game series and a number of important sporting events. Including the boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, and American League matches, according to Netflix.
