Barcelona player Olmo is sidelined due to injury

Barcelona said on Sunday that midfielder Dani Olmo was absent from the team’s trip to face Benfica in the European Champions League the day after tomorrow, Tuesday, due to a calf injury.

Olmo scored six goals and assisted three other goals in 18 matches since joining the Catalan team in the summer transfer period from German RB Leipzig.

Barcelona occupies second place in the European Champions League, having won five matches out of six.

Barcelona said, “Dani Almo suffered a strain in the right soleus muscle (the lower muscle in the calf). He will miss the next match, and the date of his return will be determined according to his recovery.”
