‘WE ARE READY FOR MANCHESTER UNITED’

Georginio Rutter climbed off the bench to score the second goal that sealed the victory for Brighton.

Next up for the Seagulls is a trip to Old Trafford on Sunday to face Manchester United.

“I’m very happy [with the win]. It’s a good atmosphere when they come away,” Rutter told TNT Sports.

“I think it was important for the team to win today. It was a difficult period over Christmas. We are happy and, for confidence, it’s good.

“It was good [to score]but I was a bit scared because the VAR looked at it.

“When a player comes to a new team, it’s hard to adapt. I’m lucky to play a lot and the manager gives me confidence.

“We try to do our best. We have to work hard, and we are ready for Manchester United now.”
