The Galaxy A06 is a smartphone that can be purchased for only $99.99 on Amazon thanks to the lack of 5G and third rear camera technology. However, it looks like it could soon get a second version with one of these features.
The Galaxy M05 was a true clone of the A05 which was launched in countries like India in 2024. However, it seems that it will have a successor with improved specifications, as suggested by its alleged model number (SM-M066B /DS).
Those familiar with Samsung’s typical naming schemes might notice that the “M06” most likely refers to a device that will be called the Galaxy M06 when it launches, and that it will be 5G rather than 4G/LTE only, if the we base ourselves on the presence of another device 6 rather than a 5 subsequently.
The “B” often denotes an India-specific SKU for a given device, while the “DS” denotes an India-specific SKU for a given device DS usually indicates that it is a model dual SIM card. Interestingly, the Bureau of Indian Standards has just registered the model number alongside the nearly identical SM-E066B/DS, which may or may not lead one to believe that the “M06 5G” is a twin of the rumored F06 .
-The F05 itself differed slightly from its M and A series clones by becoming Samsung’s first Android smartphone with a vegan leather shell for less than 100 – it will be interesting to see if its rumored predecessor will have the same type of design.
