Vaudreuil-Dorion is a growing city with numerous residential projects, quality jobs and several commercial zones. The population has doubled in the last fifteen years to now reach just over 40,000 citizens. The Leisure and Culture Department is looking for candidates to fill two positions. Technician – Digital Creation Laboratory.
Job Responsibilities
Under the responsibility of the Section Head – Technologies and Information, the person holding the position participates in the creation, coordination and implementation of programs, activities and training offered by the digital creation laboratory. She welcomes the various clienteles, leads activities, facilitates access to available technologies and assists them in using the library’s technological equipment and materials. It develops and implements tools to support customers and staff in the use of technological equipment and materials. She assists the Coordinator – Digital Creation Laboratory and the Section Head – Technologies and Information in the proper functioning of the section – Technologies and Information.
Requirements
- Diploma of college studies (DEC) in a related field;
- One year of professional experience in a field related to technologies and digital creation;
- Experience in offering programs, activities and training in a field related to the technological environment and digital creation;
- Experience in scientific and technical popularization;
- Knowledge of technologies related to digital manufacturing, such as 3D modeling, programming, robotics, electronics, etc.;
- Knowledge of collaborative manufacturing spaces and their main tools;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
- Knowledge of digital creation software;
- Knowledge of the municipal environment (asset).
Working conditions
The regular work week is 35 hours per week, spread over a variable schedule of days, evenings and weekends, depending on the needs of the service.
As an indication, the salary range is $31.13 to $36.62 per hour. The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion applies a salary integration rule which takes into account the directly relevant experience profile of the candidate.
