Thierry Neuvic, Jenifer's ex-companion with whom he had a son named Joseph, and Cécile Bois, the heroine of Candice Renoirare brought together for the first time on screen in Made in Francea mini series broadcast from this Wednesday January 15 on France 2.
They both opened up about their relationship to TV 2 Weeks a few days ago. “The complicity comes first from the choice of casting. Sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn't! Cécile and I were lucky, and I remember her saying to me after the first reading session: 'I knew it would go well with you.' And vice versa! There is a real tenderness between us“, explained the actor.
Before the mother of two daughters, born from her union with Jean-Pierre Michaël, adds this: “Thierry and I share the same simplicity in accessing the essentials of our characters. A state of mind which allows us to open the door to all possibilities, in particular this physical familiarity which is born after so many years of living together, when the skin of the other is no longer a problem. Putting your cheek on his shoulder, taking his hand spontaneously… We integrated these little gestures very naturally into our game.”
Thierry Neuvic and Cécile Bois discuss Made in France
The synopsis of Made in France ? Here it is: nothing is going well for Rita, mother of four children played by Cécile Bois, when she discovers that Olivier, her mechanic husband played by Thierry Neuvic for whom she works voluntarily, has cheated on her with a certain Olympe ( played by Antonia Desplat).
“It's the story of two women who are completely opposite and who come together to hate each other because they sincerely love the same man.”specified Cécile Bois for the magazine. “It's a little snub to our patriarchal society, where the man I play was the head of the family, made his wife work in his business and must deconstruct his old patterns to rebuild himself. It was particularly nice to break all these codes, especially with a guy caught between two women, confronted with guilt and duality.” then added Thierry Neuvic. Note that this mini-series has already been available since January 1 on the France TV platform.
