Angers defeated Quevilly-Rouen 3 to 2 in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France this Wednesday in a match that remained undecided until the end.
Angers certainly opened the scoring from the 2nd minute by Esteban Lepaul before making it worse in the 6th thanks to a penalty taken by Ahmadou Bamba Dieng more Quevilly-Rouenwho played in front of his audience at the Robert Diochon stadium, managed to reduce the score thanks to Belkacem Dali Amar (28ᵉ).
THE Angevins widened the gap again on an opportunistic goal of Jim Allevinah just after the restart (3-1, 52nd). THE Rouennais were then denied a goal for an unclear offside (68th), VAR not being used during the round of 16 of the French Cup.
THE Normans however benefited from a penalty just before the end of regulation time which, transformed by Belkacem Dali Amar again, allowed them to come back to 3-2 just before the final whistle.
Angerscurrently 13th in Ligue 1 before receiving the 10th Auxerre Sunday, is therefore qualified for the 8ᵉˢ of the Coupe.
