A mother and her two daughters died this Monday in a fire in their home in Wingles (Pas-de-Calais), which also injured two other children in the family, the mayor told AFP.
Two boys, aged around 11 and 12, got out of the house with the help of a neighbor, said Mayor Sébastien Messent, adding that the father had already left for work when the incident occurred. The 37-year-old mother, a 9-year-old daughter and another 16-year-old could not be saved.
