The Challenger Pro League has to cancel some matches this weekend due to the winter weather. Lommel SK and the RSCA Futures cannot play their home games.

“Thursday’s heavy snowfall turned the Sovereign Stadium white. Lommel SK worked tirelessly to clear the field of snow, after which an inspection by the association took place in the evening,” the club says on its website.

Also no football for promises from Anderlecht and Genk

This afternoon Anderlecht also announced the cancellation of tomorrow’s RSCA Futures match against Jong Genk.

“After an inspection by the referee on Thursday where the field was declared unplayable – and in view of the weather forecasts from the RMI – it was decided to cancel the match between RSCA Futures and Jong Genk. This was to take place on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 4 p.m.,” can be read on the purple-white website.
