Picos will have a difficult task in the second round of the Copinha. After being defeated in their debut, Zangão will face São Paulo, a multi-champion team in the biggest youth competition in the country. The clash will take place this Tuesday (07), at 7pm, at the Zezinho Magalhães stadium, in Jaú. The duel will be broadcast on the Cazé TV channel, on YouTube.
Picos is coming off a 3-0 defeat to XV de Jaú, last Saturday (04), finishing at the bottom of the Copinha with zero points. São Paulo beat Serra Branca 2-0, taking second place with three points.
Peaks in preparation for the 2024 Cup
Picos is in bracket 11 and will face four-time champion São Paulo, as well as Jaú-SP and Serra Branca-PB. The games are being held in the city of Jaú. SEP is one of the most traditional teams in Piauí, being present in the latest editions of Copinha. Last year, it fell into the first phase.
In its 55th edition, Copinha has 128 teams, divided into 32 groups. The biggest grassroots competition in the country kicked off on January 2nd, with the grand final scheduled for the 25th of the same month, at the Pacaembu Arena, which has not hosted the tournament's decision after five years.
