Around 11 p.m., on Monday January 6, 2025, two young people aged 13 and 14, from , damaged the facade and the benches attached to the Capitol in . What happened?

Window breakers as weapons

It was at the end of the evening, during their usual rounds, that the town hall's video protection officers spotted two young people, who were tapping on the facade of the Capitol and on the benches adjoining it.

The agents zoom in and see that they are using two window breakers, as weapons, to damage the monument. The police were quickly contacted and intervened on the spot.

She calls on the two young people with clothes in their possession that appear to be stolen.

A journey to the Capitol

But the adventures of the two adolescents do not end there.

Earlier in the day, instead of going to class, they boarded a train heading to the Pink City from Montauban. It was during this journey that they stole window breakers from the train.

On their way out, the two young people passed in front of a ready-to-wear store, located on rue Alsace Lorraine. A delivery pallet was in front of the sign. The offenders then stole clothes still labeled, before heading towards the Capitol.

After the arrest, the two teenagers, one of whom is already known to the police, were taken to the central police station. Their parents, who arrived from Montauban, came to pick them up. The young people will soon be summoned before a juvenile judge.
