WWE Raw January 6 2025 Review

WWE Raw January 6 2025 is a tough show to rate. It’s obviously going to get 1 for production and theme with the new presentation for the debut of Raw on Netflix. The Intuit Dome was tremendous and absolutely beautiful. Los Angeles provided an unreal experience and atmosphere for the first show evident in every segment and match held.

Tribal Combat and the main event are both very well done matches. With Roman and Solo truly entertaining with engaging run ins from Tama, Jacob, Jimmy, Sami, Kevin and Cody. Each kick out having the crowd on the edge of their seat. The Main event was great as well with Seth and Punk trading finishers to try and gain the edge over the other. Punk winning after two GTS’s was a great way to finish this show.

As a whole the show felt like a premium live event in the sense of timing and structure. With four matches, two main promos in the ring. The pacing felt similar to what we see on a normal basis from PLE’s. As a weekly show I hope that trend doesn’t continue. There were obvious segments that didn’t air in the United states. Roman Vs Solo and Liv Vs Rhea are matches that clearly had logical endings with Roman being set for a big ceremony in a few weeks. Rhea winning the title and achieving her goal. Cena has an established goal for 2025 and that’s winning Number 17.

This show was also meant for new and returning fans, so it wasn’t only booked for the fans that watched Raw for years up to now. It was booked to get people attached and invested. With moments with The Rock, The Undertaker, John Cena and two really well done matches, hopefully this show did it’s job.

WWE Raw January 6 2025 brings the dawn of a new era. Raw debuts on Netflix! With legends confirmed to appear like John Cena and The Rock. The End of Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan has been promised to be tonight. Liv Morgan looks to continue her self acclaimed Greatest Women’s World Championship reign as she has to beat Rhea Ripley one more time! Tribal Combat will determine the holder of the Ula Fala, between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. 10 years in the making, CM Punk Vs Seth Rollins in the main event.

AMAZING The Rock Promo: WWE Raw January 6 2025 Opening Promo

The Rock appears with the Final Boss theme and the Peoples Championship. In a different fashion, The Rock is high fiving fans, shaking hands with Ari Emanuel and Mark Zuckerburg, Pat and Cole. He gave the Peoples Championship to his daughters in the crowd.

This was face Rock. Cutting the promos he would cut to have fun. Mentioning the Netflix executives, making a fun comment about if one of them was blitzed. Giving both Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes their props and respect. Shouting out Cody’s Mama. Talking about his status as a High Chief but it’s more him explaining who he is. He ends the promo by doing his if you smell catchphrase before going and giving a handshake to Cody.

MUST WATCH Roman Reigns Vs Solo Sikoa – Tribal Combat: WWE Raw January 6 2025 First Match

This is what you expected. Solo Sikoa controls part of the match, getting his heat. They used chairs effectively. Teasing both a hip attack with Roman’s neck in the chair. Roman attempted a conchairto but Solo dodged. Sikoa hits up getting a nicely done Spinning Solo onto the chair. Paul Heyman is so good, Solo does his job while shouting in Roman’s face. Roman got a powerbomb through the table. After a spear Tama Tonga pulled the referee out of the ring as the Bloodline attacked Roman. Roman kicked out of the spike for a nearfall. The crowd was clearly invested and attached to every nearfall. Sami and Jimmy Uso even the odds as they brawl to the back. KO and Cody make cameos with Roman being attacked by Kevin and Cody going after him.

Roman gets the win after Heyman joins the ring, The Rock comes out and is the one to put the Ula Fala on Roman. Both men engage in a bro handshake.

Results: Roman Reigns by Pinfall via Spear

MUST WATCH John Cena Promo:

John Cena talks about his past in LA. Mentioning the apartment he had down here. How he worked in independent promotions in the area. Cena would mention headlines and how they are talking about him and future opponents for this year. More importantly mentioning how people want him to win number 17. John tries to say that it shouldn’t happen. He hasnt won a match in 2000+ days. Claiming its not his time anymore and that winning the title would take a miracle. He mentions MITB, The Chamber and The Royal Rumble. Everyone chanting you deserve John Cena realizes he can win the Royal Rumble! John not only officially enters the Royal Rumble but says he is entering to win it.

AMAZING Liv Morgan Vs Rhea Ripley – World Women’s Championship:

The crowd is clearly very invested, reacting well to Dom’s attempts to interfere. Hating the heels doing their job. Liv kicks out of a Riptide. In similar fashion to Summerslam, Liv hits an Oblivion onto a chair but Rhea kicks out. A direct call back that makes sense. Liv Morgan is always so good at selling, being tossed around and how she displays pain with her face. Ultimately it takes two more riptides for Rhea to win.

Dom attempts to hug Rhea after the match but is kicked in the balls.

Results: Rhea Ripley by Pinfall via Two Consecutive Riptides

GREAT Drew McIntyre Vs Jey Uso:

This is a match that gets an atmospheric boost as Drew and Jey are both getting a lot of support and chants for them. It’s a good and fine match. Jey kicking out of the claymore was a fun moment. Ultimately Jey Uso gets a roll up victory and escapes the ring with an irate Drew.

Results: Jey Uso by Pinfall via Crucifix Roll Up

MUST WATCH CM Punk Vs Seth Rollins: WWE Raw January 6 2025 Main Event

This is very well done, from start to finish Punk and Seth felt like a fight. Both men using each other’s signature moves like Seth using the GTS and Punk using the stomp. Seth gets a pedigree on the new announce table. Rollins hits a great looking buckle bomb on Punk. Punk had a nice neck breaker from the top rope. Ultimately Punk beats Seth in similar fashion to how he beat Moxley. Hitting a GTS but Seth bounces off the ropes and back onto his shoulders for another.

Results: CM Punk by Pinfall via GTS
