The day Victoria of Sweden narrowly escaped a knife attack
As reported by our colleagues from Parisian on Wednesday December 4, 2024, a man, armed with a knife, was arrested near Haga Castle, the residence of Princess Victoria of Sweden, located in the suburbs of Stockholm. Per Fahlström, the Swedish capital's police spokesperson, said: “We received a call about a man behaving strangely in the Haga Park area. When we checked the man, we found a knife, which led to his arrest.” Fortunately, Daniel Westling's wife escaped the worst: the man did not manage to enter the royal residence. According to information fromThe evening paper the latter, who is suspected of having prepared an attack against a member of the Swedish royal family, was equipped with handcuffs, adhesive tape, a protective mask and a fake pistol. Since then, an investigation has been underway.
