To start the year 2025 off right, Estelle and Oscar from Sweden were able to enjoy a ski vacation with their parents who immortalized the moment to wish the Swedes a happy new year.

If most royal families choose to wish their wishes via very posed and symbol-laden photos, this is not the case for Victoria and Daniel of Sweden who often tend to favor naturalness and spontaneity, whether for birthday portraits or for vacation photos. The heir couple demonstrated this once again on January 5, by publishing on Instagram an image of their ski trip, in order to start the year 2025 off right.

Victoria and Daniel from Sweden appear in the company of their two children, Estelle (12 years old) and Oscar (8 years old), all four wearing their skis, wrapped in their down jackets and wearing their helmets, an outfit that allows them to stay anonymous on the slopes, while skiing in complete safety. In the caption of this image, Victoria and Daniel write “God fortsättning!” ”, or “good luck” in French, an expression used by the Swedes to extend their best wishes at the beginning of January.

No big upheavals expected, however, in terms of royal routine. Princess Victoria must still continue her training in the army for at least a year and a half, the eldest daughter of Carl XVI Gustaf having resumed her studies in military strategy in August 2024 to obtain the rank of officer. An activity which occupies a majority of her time, the future queen not benefiting from any preferential treatment to continue to honor her royal commitments.
