If Île-de-France Mobilités has swept away the old tariff zones to impose two single tariffs throughout the region, a few blind spots complicate the task of occasional travelers.
In front of the metro ticket machine, this couple of tourists who have just arrived in Paris remain perplexed. “We saw when we inquired that there is now a ticket for the entire region at 2.50 euros, but here it only offers a ticket written “metro and RER in Paris”…” Information taken at the counter, you actually have to go to another machine. The new tickets valid throughout the region only exist in dematerialized version on telephone or Navigo Easy pass, and the oldest distributors, who cannot sell this rechargeable card, continue to sell the old t+ and origin destination tickets, at new price.
The ticket these tourists were looking for is the new ticket “Metro-Train-RER”which since January 1 has allowed travel throughout the region on these three modes of transport for a single price of 2.50 euros, regardless of the distance. It is completed by a ticket «Bus-Tram»at 2 euros, for the others…
