Sonia Mabrouk moved her Instagram subscribers on January 1, 2025, by revealing a tender photo with her daughter Soraya, born last July. In the caption, words full of meaning and emotion: “Every hour, day, year is a terrible bruise, mother. Your absence is a bottomless abyss. This year, I finally received a beautiful love letter from up there. In an interview given to TV Magazine last September, Sonia Mabrouk spoke about her new role as mother, which she describes as a “absolute happiness”. Having waited for this child for many years, the journalist also spoke about the choice of her daughter's first name, Soraya, a tribute to her mother. This first name, of Arabic and Persian origin, means ” princess ” and reflects the journalist's family roots. “I like this slightly dated first name”she confided.
