In case of late paymentthe penalties consist of 15% increase for the first month and of 0.5% for the following monthsknowing that the minimum to pay is 100 DH.
Extension of the payment period for new buyers
The 2025 finance law (LF) brings with it something new for recently acquired vehicles.
“The LF 2025 extended the deadline for payment of the special annual tax on vehicles of 30 to 60 days following the date of the receipt for filing the file for the issuance of the registration document from the THING concerning vehicles put into circulation during the year”, we can read in the summary note of the tax measures of Federal Law No. 60-24 for the 2025 budget year.
The objective of this new measure is to “reduce litigation linked to penalties resulting from delays in the issuance of registration documents by the National Road Safety Agency (NARSA)”, continues the note. Indeed, the 30-day period was often considered too short for new buyers, exposing them to increases and penalties, particularly in the event of administrative delay.
Everything you need to know about payment
Payment of the sticker can be achieved through multiple channels. Since 2016, the DGI has set up a TSAV payment system in partnership with the banking network and payment service providers.
Payment points have thus been extended to bank branches, e-banking and mobile banking sites of partner banks, automated teller machines (ATMs), payment points of payment service provider networks et websites of payment service providers.
It should be noted that:
– For any payment to bank branches and physical payment points, simply present the registration document.
– If paying by ATM or remotely (Internet, mobile banking), you must enter the information appearing on the registration card.
– On the Internet, motorists can pay for their vignette through the platform set up by the Interbank Electronic Payment Center (CMI).
– Banks and payment providers issue a receipt or an authentic receipt in the event of an inspection.
