The Ivorian club, whose training center is one of the best in Africa, has seen two of its nuggets take flight, towards Europe.
ASEC Mimosas, renowned for its academy and its gems, has just confirmed two significant transfers to Sweden during this winter transfer window. Two promising young players, Elohim Kaboré and Awaka Djoro, are leaving the Ivory Coast to write a new page in their career in Europe.
Elohim Kaboré in the footsteps of Touré Bazoumana
At only 18 years old, Elohim Kaboré, a 1.80m attacker, already has notable experience in African competitions, with five appearances in CAF Champions League over the past three seasons. Trained at the MimoSifcom Academy, this versatile and fast player joined the first team last season. His potential attracted the attention of Hammarby, Swedish vice-champion, with whom he has signed until 2029. Kaboré thus joins an ambitious team, where he will be able to continue his rise and reunite with his ex-teammate Touré Bazoumana, landed in March from ASEC.
For his part, Awaka Djoro, a 19-year-old midfielder, has also gradually climbed the steps at the MimoSifcom Academy. Spotted at 13, he made his professional debut at 17. From now on, he will wear the colors of Kalmar FF, a Swedish second division club, where he is on loan for a period of one year.
