In the Helene Fischer Show 2024, a controversial children’s song causes a stir. The hit queen also hints at a new album.

Düsseldorf – The recording of the “Helene Fischer Show” 2024 took place on December 6th and 7th in Düsseldorf. The enthusiasm was enormous as the tickets for the hit event were sold out in a very short time. This was not least due to the impressive guest list that Helene Fischer (40) had put together. In addition to international stars and music legends, the pop queen herself also appeared. Among other things, she presented a medley from her current children’s album, including a controversial children’s song for which she received heavy criticism after the album was released.

Despite criticism: Helene Fischer sings controversial children’s song on her ZDF show

Looking back: On November 1st, Helene Fischer released her first children’s album. But it was precisely for this project, which she describes as a matter of the heart, that she had to endure harsh criticism. In addition to well-known children’s songs such as “A Bi-Ba-Butzemann is dancing” or “Alle meine Entchen”, Helene Fischer has also reinterpreted “Aramsamsam” – a song that is considered controversial these days. Experts describe it as “pseudo-Arabic” and an imitation of the Muslim prayer posture. They speak of a “corruption of the Arabic languages” and “rejection of Islam”. Nevertheless, the controversial children’s song made it into the “Helene Fischer Show”.

After her appearance with Reinhard Mey (82), Helene Fischer stands on the ZDF stage surrounded by “The Little Blankenäschen”. Together with the children’s choir, the pop singer presents a medley of children’s songs. Although the 13,000 fans in attendance are not the target group of this album, they sing and dance along enthusiastically. Helene Fischer’s fans show that they have mastered the text particularly in “So ein meine Tag (Fliegerlied)”, but also in “Aramsamsam”. Nobody on site seems to be bothered by the controversial children’s song. How the television audience reacts on December 25th remains to be seen.
