Coming from two consecutive defeats, Estoril Praia and Moreirense drew on Saturday afternoon by two goals at the António Coimbra da Mota Stadium, in Amoreira, in a match related to round 16 of the I League that had several changes in the scoreboard.

Playing away from home, Moreira de Cónegos' team, calmer in the league table, scored early, just inside the third minute of the game. The play started with a goal shot by Caio Secco, Madson Monteiro headed in Gabrielzinho who, in front of Joel Robles, shot the ball into the back of the Canarian net. The move was analyzed by VAR but was validated.

Having not won for three games, Estoril, however, did not concede the opponent's early goal and turned the dispute around in the first half. At 22 minutes, when converting a penalty to punish Fabiano's foul on Hélder Costa, Alejandro Marqués did not forgive, sent the ball to one side, Caio Seco to the other, and reestablished equality. Then, just before half-time, Estoril Praia took the lead. Caio Secco even saved Holsgrove's first shot, Marcelo tried to clear the ball away and ended up handing the ball to Hélder Costa, who kicked to count.

But the last word came from Moreirense, who restored the final 2-2 close to the hour of play. Frimpong's cross was met with a first-time left-foot shot by Guinean striker Nlavo Asué, making it 2-2.

After two consecutive defeats, Moreira de Cónegos' team now has 21 points, while the 'canarinhos' – who also came from two defeats and had their fourth consecutive game without winning – remain in 13th place, with 15.
