Inter, Moratti: “Cagliari could achieve a positive result”|Serie A

Former Inter President Massimo Moratti spoke toTuttoCagliari.net in view of the away match that will close 2024 for the Nerazzurri, playing on the pitch of Davide Nicola’s Cagliari. The owner of the Treble era is convinced that, despite the difference between the two teams, the hosts could manage to achieve a positive result.

“Technically the match could seem to be a close call for Inter. But I must say that I have seen Cagliari play several times in this period, and they have always fared very well. In particular they have shown great character, and in More than one circumstance they wouldn’t have deserved to lose. Even more so, tomorrow’s match will be anything but an easy match for the Nerazzurri. If Cagliari puts in all the passion, determination and commitment that characterize them especially at home, in my opinion they could even achieve a positive result. So I repeat: it will be an open and decidedly dangerous challenge for Inter” said Moratti on the last match of the year for Simone Inzaghi’s men.
The Sardinians will first of all have to be cautious. But then it will depend a lot on the progress of the race. There may also be a need, in certain situations, to attack Inter and push the accelerator” concluded the former President of the Nerazzurri club.
