The event promises to be historic for the small amateur club of National 3, in just over two weeks.

All tickets for the match between Espaly and PSG, in the round of 32 of the Coupe de , were sold in less than an hour. This meeting will be played on Wednesday January 15 at 9 p.m., at the Marcel-Michelin stadium, ASM's usual rugby lair and it was the Top 14 club which announced the news. Prices ranged from 22 to 52 euros, which caused some discontent among the local population, and only 2,000 tickets were reserved for ASM subscribers on Thursday. The Phliponeau stand will be reserved for Saint-Germain fans.

Perbet was “keen to bring PSG to Auvergne”

As our colleagues at La Montagne point out, this football configuration will remove around 4,000 seats compared to rugby, to end up with a capacity of between 12,000 and 13,000 spectators. A Coupe de France match had already been moved to Michelin in 2001, between Issoire and the Girondins de (0-5) of Christophe Dugarry, Pauleta, Tony Vairelles, Alain Roche and Ulrich Ramé. A few years ago, former full-back José Gomez remembered: “If they hadn't put the big team in, it would have been a real disappointment. But the year before, they had eliminated by , so Elie Baup had put his best eleven.”

Will Luis Enrique do the same? Not sure, as PSG's schedule looks crazy from this date, particularly with the last two days of the Champions League respectively one and two weeks later (Wednesday January 22 and 29). A successful bet for President Christian Perbet, who was “keen to bring PSG to Auvergne” (for France Bleu). This will be the last match on the program for the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France, only at 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening, following a final block of seven matches at 6:30 p.m.
