On Saturday at 3:14 a.m. a winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 7 a.m. until Sunday 4 a.m. for Seneca, Cayuga and Onondaga counties.
“Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches,” can be probable according to the weather service. “Gusty winds of up to 20 mph may cause areas of blowing snow especially near open fields. With temperatures falling into the single digits tonight, wind chills will fall below 0 as well.”
“Plan on slippery road conditions,” says the weather service. “Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.”
