Thursday December 19
After the night’s disturbance, which ends up evacuating from the east at daybreak, the sun temporarily returns to an atmosphere ventilated by a sensitive northwest wind. Showers quickly hit the Channel coast and Point Finistère. These showers end up spreading across the entire region during the day and especially in the afternoon. Showers are more frequent in the north of the region and can occasionally be accompanied by sleet.
Under these showers, the northwest wind is turbulent, it blows up to 80-90 km/h on the coasts of Finistère in the bay of Mont Saint Michel. Peaks of up to 100 km/h are also possible in the heaviest showers and on capes. In the interior, the gusts are also powerful under showers, reaching 70 km/h in the northern half, locally 80 km/h and more like 50 to 70 km/h in the southern half.
After the great mildness of this Wednesday, temperatures are dropping. They are still quite mild at sunrise with 5°C in Rostrenen up to 8-9°C on the coasts. In the afternoon, temperatures do not rise, and are sometimes cooler than in the morning with 7 to 10°C maximum.
Tendency
On Friday, clouds are the majority in the sky. A few showers or scattered rain are even possible at times. At the end of the day, a disturbance reached Finistère with light rain and a steady westerly wind. Temperatures are sometimes cool in the interior in the morning with 3 to 4°C in places, it is milder towards the tip of Brittany. The maximums are stationary, around 9 to 11°C.
Saturday, the weather remains quite gray and humid. Some temporary rains are circulating. Temperatures are mild with 12 to 13°C in the afternoon.
Sunday also looks set to be quite gloomy with showers, frequent near the Channel and especially a sustained northwesterly wind, blowing up to 100 km/h in gusts along the Channel.
