AS Saint-Etienne intends to strengthen this winter on the transfer market. The Greens would also have focused on the profile of an experienced attacker who plays in Scotland.
At AS Saint-Etienne, time is running out to find a new coach. Olivier Dall'Oglio was dismissed after the defeat at Toulouse in Ligue 1 and the club's management is hard at work finding the rare gem (which could be Eirik Horneland). The Greens must also anticipate the next winter transfer market. The Stéphanois are currently play-offs and should suffer until the end of the season to ensure their survival. In order to achieve this, Saint-Etienne wants to recruit a sure value in attack. And one profile particularly pleases, namely that of Cyriel Dessers (Glasgow Rangers).
AS Saint-Etienne finds its rare pearl in Scotland?
According to information from Republican SportsmanSaint-Etienne is indeed more than keen on the idea of recruiting the 30-year-old Rangers striker. The latter recently lost his starting place since the arrival of Hamza Igamane and would not be against the idea of having a new experience. Dessers is still under contract with Glasgow until 2027 and is valued at around €4 million. The Saint-Etienne management will therefore have to put their hands in their pockets if they want to succeed in this ambitious file. The Nigerian international knows the demands of the highest level and his arrival would certainly be a plus if he manages to adapt quickly to French football. His versatility is also a major asset for the Stéphanois, who want someone capable of scoring goals during the second part of the season. This season with Rangers, Cyriel Dessers has found the net 12 times, including once in the Europa League.
