New fuss about Florian Wirtz! As is well known, the offensive star is on the wish list of various top clubs – especially FC Bayern. But now a decision is said to have been made regarding the 21-year-old’s immediate future.

Again kicker reported on Monday, Wirtz is said to have extended his contract with Bayer Leverkusen, which originally ran until 2027, by at least one year. On SPORT1When asked, the club denied the report.

“Bayer 04 has had a very trusting and close relationship with Florian Wirtz and his family for years. Contractual matters will continue to be discussed exclusively between the Bayer 04 management and the Wirtz family,” said the double winner.

A possible agreement would, if necessary, be conveyed in “agreement with the Wirtz family,” it said.

Bavaria’s honorary president Uli Hoeneß had already publicly expressed his desire for Wirtz in the summer. “I am a fan of Florian Wirtz. Everyone knows that I would like to see him at Bayern Munich,” said Hoeneß during a visit to the fan club in Seligenporten.
