Peter Bosz has announced his starting line-up for the away match against SC Heerenveen. The PSV coach wants to see his team recover after the major disappointment against Stade in the Champions League (1-0 defeat).

“Listen, that’s closed,” Bosz responded to ESPN about the match with Brest. Still, things were not going well for the experienced coach. ‘That makes you sick. But you have to close it. We did that together, then we looked at Heerenveen. We have been working on that for two days now. Are we going to take revenge? Hopefully.’

Bosz expects his team to perform well in the Abe Lenstra Stadium. ‘I believe that a real top club never loses twice in a row. I also told the players that. But so far we have never done that in a year and a half. So I expect a response now.”

In Friesland, Noa Lang is on the bench, while Joey Veerman is returning to the starting eleven. A well-considered decision. ‘If you look at Noa, you see that he is coming back from a serious injury. He played three times in one week. We would like to keep him there, so it is a precautionary choice. Because I always want Noa to be on the field. Only sometimes you take a step back, so that he can stay with it afterwards.’

“We may change Veerman for Jerdy Schouten after an hour,” Bosz said in anticipation of another choice. ‘That would make sense. Joey has been out for a month and a half, so you want to manage that well. That’s what we try. It is the first time that he is in the starting eleven. Jerdy can make minutes again.’
