Weekend weather planner: Rain showers roll in as temperatures warm up
Updated: 7:09 AM EST Dec 13, 2024
SPEAKING OF THE MUG, STILL NEED IT TO WARM UP THIS MORNING. BUT THE WEATHER IS ALSO KIND OF COOPERATING WITH THE WARM UP. WE’RE GOING TO SEE TEMPERATURES THIS WEEKEND THAT ARE GOING TO BE CLOSER TO THE UPPER 40S 50 DEGREES. AND I’VE GOT A COUPLE OF DAYS NEXT WEEK WHERE 60 IS A POSSIBILITY. SO THERE’S SOME WARMER DAYS COMING IN. A LOT OF THAT COMES WITH SOME RAIN, SO IT’S KIND OF A TRADE OFF. LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT WE CAN EXPECT AS WE HEAD INTO THE WEEKEND. FOR TODAY. IT’S GOING TO BE CHILLY. YOU KNOW, EXPECT MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES AND TEMPERATURES THAT ARE TOPPING OUT IN THE UPPER 30S. TOMORROW WILL JUMP TO 48 AND RAIN SHOULD HOLD OFF FOR MOST COMMUNITIES UNTIL AFTER ABOUT 8 OR 9 P.M. SO YOU’RE GETTING YOUR DAYTIME ERRANDS, BREAKFAST WITH SANTA. ALL THAT STUFF’S GOING TO BE TOTALLY FINE. IT’S SATURDAY NIGHT. THE RAIN MOVES IN STEADY SHOWERS OVERNIGHT AND OCCASIONAL SHOWERS WITH US ON SUNDAY. WE’LL KIND OF BREAK DOWN THE FREQUENCY OF THOSE HERE COMING UP IN YOUR FUTURECAST. RIGHT NOW IT’S 23 DEGREES WITH CLOUDY SKIES. WINDS OUT OF THE EAST NORTHEAST SEVEN MILES AN HOUR. MAKES IT FEEL LIKE 15. AND YOU KNOW WHAT? IT’S GOING TO FEEL LIKE THE TEENS THROUGH THE MORNING, 9 A.M., 23, FEELING LIKE 17. WE GET TO NOON, WE’RE BACK TO FREEZING. AND THEN WE THAW OUT THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE UPPER 30S. WIND CHILLS LIKELY UPPER 20S, LOW 30S TODAY. IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE OUT TONIGHT. TEMPERATURES BASICALLY HIT THE UPPER 20S AND STAY THERE OVERNIGHT. RADAR SHOWING SNOW SHOWERS STILL EXIST UP NORTH OF COLUMBUS ALONG 71 CLEVELAND EAST SIDE, CONTINUING TO GET LAKE EFFECT BANDS THIS MORNING, BUT FOR OUR AREA, THE NEXT THING WE WILL SEE IS RAIN AND IT COMES IN SATURDAY EVENING. SO THE FUTURECAST SHOWS SATURDAY’S PRETTY CLOUDY BUT DRY. TEMPERATURES TOMORROW UPPER 40S, WHICH IS NOT BAD FOR, YOU KNOW, MID DECEMBER. WE GET INTO THE EVENING HOURS AND RAIN SHOWERS START TO CREEP IN. SO SEVEN 8:00 MOST TOWNS ARE PRETTY DRY BY THE TIME WE GET TO NINE AND 10 P.M. BETTER CHANCES FOR THOSE RAIN SHOWERS STEADY OVERNIGHT. AND THEN AS WE GET INTO SUNDAY, SCATTERED SHOWERS. KIND OF THE NAME OF THE GAME. PROBABLY A LITTLE MORE FREQUENT IN THE MORNING AND THEN FEWER OF THEM AS WE GET INTO THE AFTERNOON. SO REALLY THE WETTEST TIME IS KIND OF LATE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY ON SUNDAY MORNING. FOR TODAY, 38 DEGREES. PLAN ON CLOUDY SKIES. IT WILL BE A COOL ONE THROUGH THE DAY. TONIGHT WE DROP DOWN TO 26. TAKING A LOOK AT YOUR SATURDAY FORECAST. IT’S A WEATHER IMPACT DAY, BUT IT’S REALLY JUST TO KIND OF POINT OUT THAT RAIN THAT’S HEADING IN SATURDAY NIGHT, TOMORROW MORNING. MAYBE YOU’RE RUNNING ERRANDS, KIDS HAVE SPORTS, MAYBE BREAKFAST WITH SANTA. IT’S ANOTHER COOL START. WILL BE IN THE UPPER 20S. SANTACON KICKS OFF AT THE CASINO AT NOON, AND THEN IT KIND OF TRAIPSES THROUGH DOWNTOWN AND HEADS TOWARD THE BANKS. IT’S GOING TO BE CLOUDY, COOL, AND ABOUT 43 DEGREES AT NOON TOMORROW NIGHT. WHETHER YOU’RE CHECKING OUT THE LIGHTS, MAYBE HEADING OVER TO THE CHRISTMAS AND LOVELAND. RAIN WILL BE MOVING IN AFTER ABOUT 8 OR 9 P.M., SO YOU STILL GET MOST OF THE EVENING IN JUST FINE. SUNDAY THE RAIN SHOWERS ARE AROUND. I THINK THEY’RE SCATTERED MORE FREQUENTLY IN THE MORNING. FEWER OF THEM IN THE AFTERNOON. AND THEN NEXT WEEK, 57 WITH RAIN ON MONDAY AND ALMOST MAYBE A SHOT AT SEEING 60 WITH RAIN OR A THUNDERSTORM NEXT WEDNESDAY. ALL RIGHT, RANDY, THANK YOU. CHASING HISTORY. JA’MA
