LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT)—Everyone’s favorite elf takes the stage, celebrating Christmas in small-town fashion and Santa is coming to downtown Lexington!

There’s no shortage of Christmas cheer this Weekend Roundup.

Pink bunny pajamas are taking the spotlight, a legendary rock band performs at Rupp Arena and you can start checking items off your Christmas list! There’s plenty to do around the commonwealth as we enter the holiday season!

ELF THE MUSICAL JR. AT LEXINGTON OPERA HOUSE

The best way to spread Christmas cheer is by singing loudly for all to hear. “Elf The Musical Jr.” is happening at the Lexington Opera House!

The stage adaptation of the beloved Christmas movie features Buddy the Elf’s adventure from the North Pole to New York City after he finds out he’s not a real elf.

If all you need is a little Christmas spirit, you can see the show on Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m and on Sunday at 2 p.m.

You can still find tickets online.

2024 LEXINGTON HOLIDAY PARADE

The 2024 Lexington holiday parade is on Saturday!

The parade features festive floats, businesses, marching bands, and, of course, Santa Claus! You might even see some familiar faces from WKYT.

The parade starts at 11 a.m. on Midland Avenue and ends at Mill Street.

The holiday fun doesn’t end there, though. After the parade, you can head to Lex Live to watch “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at 12:30.
